ADOreD 6th Training School: A Week of Learning and Exchange at DTU

On 15–22 May 2026, ADOreD’s doctoral candidates gathered in Denmark for their 6th Training School.

During the week, participants explored DTU’s large-scale facilities at 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 Ø𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗱, visited the 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺, toured world-class laboratories at DTU Wind and Energy Systems, and engaged in research discussions with the MSCA consortium Inter-oPEn (HE MSCA). The programme also included a visit to the innovation hub 𝗦𝗸𝘆𝗹𝗮𝗯 and a session on life after the PhD, as the doctoral candidates approach the final stage of their ADOreD journey.

About the visit, DC Kriti Agrawal says:

"From a dot in my simulations to a massive real-world system – our visits to the Middelgrunden offshore wind farm and the Østerild test facility revealed the true scale and interdisciplinary complexity of wind energy."
