ree

On November 3rd-7th 2025, our ADOreD doctoral candidates attended their 5th Training School at Hitachi Energy in Sweden.

The programme provided new insights into HVDC technology, included relevant industry visits, and gave doctoral candidates the opportunity to present a status update on their research, sharing knowledge and expertise with fellow candidates and industry specialists.

The program included

  • A guided tour and informational and practical modules concerning HVDC systems at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm

  • A visit to NKT in Västerås

  • An outreach workshop at Hitachi Gymnasium

  • Individual presentations of project work

  • And a visit to Hitachi Energy in Ludvika

Our doctoral candidates were exited for the new knowledge shared during the training school, and stated:
