The first training school and consortium meeting took place at KU Leuven, Belgium 9-13th of October 2023. 

13 Doctoral Candidates participated in the training event. 

 
The training activities included the following:

• Transferrable skills: Introduction to open science and research data management.   

• Scientific skills: Lectures on Grid forming control; Cable solutions for HVDC cables; System integration of offshore wind power; Building the grid of the future and Offshore wind power design and optimisation. The scientific lectures were given by both members of ADOreD and invited scientists.  

• Industrial Day: Visit to Equans (Antwerpen, Belgium) and Coreso (Brussels, Belgium) 

 
The week also included the official mid-term meeting with Project Officer from REA.
